Ok, guys!

It,s a rainy day today and luckily the owner of the Gite offered us free transbaggage so 4 of us and the others walked without rucksacks but still in the rain.

One of the French men had some problem so went to see a doctor in Cahors yesterday and we took a road rather than official pilgrimage trail, normally with a lot of mountains.

I bought a new pair of walking shoes as I told you yesterday and it was a good day for the experiment, water proof(hooray Gore-Tex!) and hard soles. They were not too solid, flexible enough without a long time experiment and Gore-Tex world is just different from my damn old shoes worn-out leather.

It,s sometimes good to walk on the road but not really great for my back(back bone gets all pressere and weight of my body) and knee. I have some pain in my both ankles and they are taking in a turn to make me hard everyday but I found my muscles get stronger after the pain so it,s not a big problem, just annoying.

Walking in the rain is more likely an experience to listen to myself, my breath and foot steps. However, I could hear and see the wind today after the rain.

Wind made streams in the middle of the green wheat field!!

Can you imagine the sound and the scenary???

I,m sorry I couldn,t catch the moments with my camera as it needs a special technique and tools; I,m not that good.

I was singing a song, Blowing In The Wind-Bob Dylan and birds were sining on trees.

God, it,s not possible to tell you everything in our languages!

Ok, folks...

Time to go; more pilgrims are arriving and they want to use the net, too.
I,m just happy to be on the net today again anyway.

Bye for now.

Love,
Sejin from Montcuq(it means ASS in French, I heard :-)

Ok, now I arrived in Cahors and found a quick internet line in a small internet cafe.
I,m posting some of nice photos of my walk; it,s been 15days since I started.

I,m buying some new outdoor gears here and go further, about 10 km to stay with 3 French funny old men; I,ve walked with them for few days and they are just funny and great and kind!

French food+cheese+wine are just great , no wonder, huh?

It was pouring yesterday and we and the other groups were lost in the middle of the trail but the weather today is perfect; not too hot but still sunny.

Thank you for your e-mail and messages on the blog; Vera, Giacomo, Claudia, Mirang, Carlos, Sara, Nicole, Kareem, Hyeyeon, Youngwan and so on(sorry for bad memory and short time to use the internet).

Your cheering is always more than welcome.

I,m thiniking to buy a new pair of walking shoes today as mine, 6yrs old, are nearly worn out and terrible with rain. However, I should concern that it takes time to get used to a new pair.

Missing you all, my dear friends!

Love,
Sejin

Conques

It,s the 9th day of the walk.
I arrived in Conques, Garnde site de France!!!
The weather is beautiful now and the walk was quite good with funny French old men.
There is a Dutch man waiting for the internet so I can,t write much today.
Anyhow, my toe with problem is just fine now and I,ve walked in walking shoes again for 2days so no problem.
But, my left ankle is a little sore so I,ll be careful, concerning on my condition.
If you want to get a postcard, leave your postal address!

The 7th day of St. Jaques

i took quite a lot of good photos on the way so far but this French internet service is damn slow to upload them with bloody expensive tarif. So, I just gave up to do it for you guys.
Well, I,ve walked in sandals for 3days and my toe is getting better and no problem to walk without walking shoes; so far, so good!
A lot of people are amazed by this crazy asian woman, walking with a big big rucksack and without any special problem.
The weather has been just same with cloud and it sometimes drizzles but is not pouring.
I,m now in Espalion, maybe about more than 100km away from Le Puy; I don,t really calculate this distance as it,s still far away to go.
Ok, I don,t want to pay too much with this civilized service so let,s call it a day.

It,the 'th day of my pilgrimage

I,m walking along very very very countryside of France.
So, it,s the first place to check my e-mail and I,m losing my temper with this fxcking slow internet line; I never try to post my photos here!
My rucksack is pretty heavy like one I carried in Annapurna, Nepal few years ago but so far so good.
there is a problem with my stupid toe of my left foot; swollen and probably infected somehow. Damn!
I don,t know how I can keep on my walk with this condition but I hope to find a solution, wearing sandals for next few days. What,s more... I lost my pancho this morning in a Gite; I hope somebody took it by his or her mistake and it,s not stolen at least.

Ok, that,s it for so far.
I,ll send you some postcards on the way and you can send me e-mail to cheer me up.

Love,
Sejin
